From Stem to Hem

Loreal Fashion Festival Cultural Program 2009

Flower Temple, designed Jasongrech and milliner Peter Jago, designed an installation with a collective objective – “To illustrate the inspiration and origins of flowers and nature’s influence on fashion under the public looking glass.”

Throughout LMFF the expansive windows of the Flower Temple were a stunning spectacular of a ‘behind the scene glimpse’ of the birth of couture “From Stem to Hem – A window on Flower Evolution”.

Flower Temple chose an organic representation, the Forest. The floor lined with moss and scattered oak leaves under the Oak Tree canopy with cascading ancient orchid roots and a spilling of precious orchids became the home to the beautiful creation of Jasongrech and head wear by Peter Jago.

Jasongrech designed a stunning form filling red carpet full length silk dress with had cut leather, felt and silk fine detailing in oak leaves tones symbolising the first season, when crops and fruits are gathered and leaves fall: Autumn

Precision cut and hand wired fret work make up the extraordinary piece of art by Peter Jago. A celebration of the installation with an official launch hosted by Gemma Gawn.
